U.S.A. 1974; from dandyDADA ARCHIVE three unrepeatable shots representative of the diffusion of funk fashion even in members of the Baptist church. Reverend L.T. Barrett is a complicated figure known as an activist and pastor on Chicago’s South Side. He is an influencer in city’s black community.  In 1971 he records the classic gospel album Like A Ship … (Without A Sail). Among his supporters, there are Jesse Jackson and Chicago mayor Eugene Sawyer.
