"I fell in love with Migliarino-San Rossore-Massaciuccoli Park at the beginning of the Eighties, when I photographed insects. Then I widened my scope to all other animals and I was later attracted by landscapes, but mostly by micro-landscapes offered by all Nature components: trees, rocks, animals and, in particular, water. Eventually, I looked, and I still look, at creative dimensions of naturalistic photography and at all those contacts established by Nature with figurative and abstract art. But, despite changes, my horizons have always been widely filled by this terri - tory, starting from Migliarino woods and the Massaciuccoli Lake, both within Vecchiano municipal district, up to the exceptional San Rossore Estate surroundings, divided between Pisa and San Giuliano Terme municipal districts. Nature photographers keep returning to the same places; they observe each particular long and attentively; they wake up at night; they spend hours shut inside their huts; they do not care about either heat, cold, mosquitoes, gadflies, or mites. This is usually intended in terms of endur - ance and sacrifice, but such a behaviour arises negative comments too. Though, this is a normal consequence of their passion: there is no sac - rifice, rather they just cannot wait to be there again, especially in this Park, where Nature prepares different spectacles not only each season, but everyday...". from Carlo Delli  www.carlodelli.it
