A year after the earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, poverty is epidemic. Crime and violence are rampant and prostitution is a way of life. The NGO’s and the UN are ill equipped to deal with the situation. This study looks at many girls and women inside the refugee camps who are forced to adopt this way of life, wandering the dark streets of Petionville, swallowed by an existence which seems to offer no way out.
