Bruno Manunza, is a researcher at the Department of Agriculture, University of Sassari, where he worked in the Aquaculture and Marine Ecology Section and is actively involved in nature photography.
His passion for nature and photography is of the fruits of his parents: his father was a photographer and avid reader of Popular Photography and Feininger's books, his mother was a fierce underwater, loved nature in all expressions and forms. In his childhood home they were circulating all kinds of animals, many aquariums and a terrace was transformed into the aviary. As a child he spent his days collecting shells, strange and colorful stones, cuttlefish bones and anything that had the charm of nature. It is the author of books of photographs:

His many photos and the covers of six volumes of the Encyclopedia of the Fauna of Sardinia published from the Archive Photo Sardo (2008).
His photographs have received awards and recognitions in several competitions, including: the Nikon International Photo Contest (1995 and 1999), the OASIS competitions (2000 and 2003), the AFPAN (2006, 2007), the EURONATUR 2007 . it also reached with more images in the final editions 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2010 wILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER oF tHE WORLD, the most prestigious among the wildlife photography competitions.
Has published pictures and reports of numerous magazines and photographic books including: Aqva, Underwater World, The Diver, Nature Mundi, Mare Nostrum, Sardinia and Surroundings, Today, Photographing, Oasis, Fotocult, Geo, Qui Touring, Parks and Reserves, The the journal Nature, the Republic Friday, National Geographic etc.
