As the Australian photographer Steve Afford, the Italian researcher and photographer Bruno Manna in Fungal collection focuses on fungi. Manna transforms these organisms into true photographic artwork, which will attract the viewer's eye and take him into an unknown world, fairytale. In this picture Bruno Manunza seems to retrace the greek myth that the fungus was considered divine in ancient Greece. The legend tells that Perseus tired and thirsty for the long travel stays alive thanks to the water located inside of a mushroom cap. Believing that it is a sign from the Gods, the son of Zeus and Danae decides to found a new city in that place, Mycenae (μύκης Mykes = fungus).
