A stunning reportage of an Indonesian tribe that has never had contact with the world. Thanks to the geographical isolation of the Dani were discovered only in 1938 by an airplane pilot who had noticed some signs of civilization while flying over the remote Baliem Valley's, in the central province of Papua. The Roberto Pazzi shots show how the life of these people is totally away from the hectic and chaotic western routine. Scattered in 300 villages, some of which count only 3 or 4 people, the Danes have maintained unchanged in the years customs and ancestral traditions. In this photograph by Roberto Pazzi, the village council met to celebrate the culture and the people who live on the island of Papua. Stands out among the multitude of men with a young warrior back into an carton penial (Horim), made from a type of pumpkin, the body completely covered with pork fat and ash to keep warm and cenderwasih feathers, the bird of paradise, on the head.
