Retrophotograph of the Thirties. Riding eight dromedaries a group of tourists visit the biggest, ancient and mysterious monument of Egypt, the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Greek name of the pharaoh Khufu). The fascination for Egypt, a kingdom of ancient past, is even more emphasized by the great archaeological discoveries promoted by the Egyptologist Howard Carter in 1922. He has brought to light the tomb of Tutankhamun (also known as KV62) whose legend about the curse that has increased the flow of tourists, "death will come on agile wings to him who desecrate the tomb of Pharaoh".
