The ship was launched on June 29, 1927. His first inaugural trip is dated April 13, 1928, starting from Genova, passing from Naples and finally New York. Conte Grande is known to history as the transatlantic most opulent and lavish ever to sail the oceans enough to impress the American passengers who remembered the exotic scenery of the Hollywood cinema.
