Piazza dei Miracoli Pisa

Photography Square of Miracles, late nineteenth century. Pisa, Piazza del Duomo is the historical and religious center of the city with the baptistery, the cathedral, the graveyard and the inevitable and famous leaning tower. Since 1863 the square got its final appearance by the architect Alessandro Gherardesca, who decided to transform this part of the city in a pedestrian area by demolishing existing buildings.
