Photography of the Thirties. A group of twenty-three tourists posing for souvenir photograph of the tour the Acropolis of Athens. The depth of field is given by the diagonal cut of the Temple of Hephaestus, from the looks of the people facing the camera except for the child sitting on an archaeological fragment and the woman (on the right) advancing towards us with a pitch firm and safe. It is a particular characteristic of the photographs of the third decade of 1900. Since the thirties of the twentieth century have abandoned the rigid portraits by slightly sloping faces of three quarters. The gaze is directed towards the photographer and the poses are more dynamic. Tourists are aligned exactly according to the arrangement of the Doric columns of the temple. In recent years increasingly disseminating photographs outdoors becoming important documentation of the evolution of the media landscape.
