Photograph of the late nineteenth century of Corso Aurelio Saffi in Genoa. Until 1830 the Carignano Belvedere was a pleasant meeting place for romantic walks. In the 1772 the proposal of the Fathers of the City to create a walk that let go the carriages is accepted. Only at the end of the century it was completed the urbanization process with the opening of the large arteries such as the ring road to three-of-union sea between the port and the east.

"The new road, the widest and most spacious in the city, born on the ruins of the oldest road from Geneva," the text of 1887.
